Blended Reds
- Friday, June 12
- 02:00pm — 6:00pm MDT
- Ah Haa School of the Arts
Blended is one of those “tell your friends you did this” festival experiences — part science, part art, and 100% delicious. If you’ve ever wondered how the world’s most iconic red wines actually come together, this is your chance to get behind the curtain (and behind the blending table).
In this hands-on, interactive tasting, you’ll explore the building blocks of legendary red blends by tasting Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot individually. You’ll learn what each brings to the party — structure, fruit, aromatics, backbone, drama — and why winemakers obsess over getting the balance just right.
You’ll walk through how they approach blending for their own wines, breaking down flavor, aroma, body, tannin structure, and mouthfeel in a way that’s approachable, not textbook. Expect real talk, real insights, and plenty of “ohhh that’s why” moments.
Then comes the best part: you become the winemaker.
You’ll create your own custom blend, adjusting percentages to match your personal taste — bold and structured, smooth and plush, or somewhere perfectly in between.
Why this is always a sell-out:
• Interactive, hands-on (you’re not just sitting and sipping)
• Insider winemaking knowledge you can actually understand
• The rare chance to create a wine that’s literally your style
• Fun, social, and great for both serious wine people and curious beginners
This is where creativity meets craft — and where you get to discover whether you’d be a “more Cab” person, a “Merlot secretly rules” person, or a “throw in more Petit Verdot and see what happens” person.
Pro move: Hands-on wine experiences are some of the fastest to fill because space is limited by design. If blending your own wine sounds fun (it is), don’t sit on this one.
